In 2008 the Walsh family approached us with a common problem. An old carriage house on the property needed some attention to become less of a burden and better suit the needs of a modern family. We revitalized the old outbuilding by adding a pool house with abundant hand-built details to make a cozy and functional backyard getaway beside a new pool. Some highlights include: locally sourced and processed lumber, all natural finishes, shop-built insulated doors and true divided light windows, hand -made local hardware and railing systems. This project illustrates the simple but remarkable concept that bringing the outside in and providing a connection to the landscape can make the most of your property. Love where you live: renovate.
